The AOAC Cannabis Analytical Science Program (CASP) Microbial Contaminants Working Group serves to develop standards for methodology and testing in the cannabis space. The working group additionally provides a platform for stakeholders to collaborate and discuss relevant topics and challenges. Presented by the Chair of the CASP Microbial Contaminants Working Group, Julia Bramante, this webcast will present the working group developed guidelines for validation of microbiological methods for cannabis, including:

Julia Bramante serves as the Cannabis Reference Laboratory Manager at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, in which the lab’s primary focus is conducting in depth method development and validation studies. Additionally, Julia is a board member of the AOAC Official Methods Board, Chair of the AOAC CASP Microbial Contaminants Working Group, Chair of the AOAC CASP Microbial Contaminants Expert Review Panel, serves on the AOAC CASP Cannabinoids and Chemical Contaminants Expert Review Panels, and is an active member of the Colorado Marijauna Science and Policy Working Group. She also serves as Chair of the Cannabis Chemistry Subdivision of the Division of Chemical Health and Safety of the American Chemical Society.
