Hi, I'm Susan Audino, and my Noid Factoid is that the first synthetic cannabinoid was actually developed here in the United States at Clemson University in 2008. It was marketed as “spice.” It's still produced in mass quantities, typically in China, which is then shipped as a powder to other countries, and nowadays it's actually a controlled substance in many countries. So there you have it, the origin of the synthetic cannabinoids.
