Raw Garden announced recently that the company is looking to obtain their ECCO certification.
Raw Garden announced in a recent press release (1), that the California cannabis brand was seeking to pursue an Environmentally Conscious Consumer Organization (ECCO) certification. ECCO is a non-profit organization which aims to promote high standards regarding sustainability and safety in the cannabis industry; Raw Garden is a co-founding member of the organization.
Once Raw Garden obtains their ECCO certification, the press release mentioned that the company will need to “demonstrate its dedication to (1):
“At Raw Garden, we’ve always taken pride in doing things the right way, not the easy way,” Thomas Martin, CEO of Raw Garden, expressed (1). “Pursuing ECCO certification is a natural extension of our values. It’s not just about meeting industry standards; it’s about setting new ones. Our customers deserve transparency and assurance that their products are crafted with their health and the planet in mind.”
At the moment, Raw Garden is going through a ECCO evaluation process. According to the press release, this “includes independent third-party testing and in-depth sustainability audits that are more stringent than the State of California.”
Raw Garden has been utilizing a clean green certification in the company’s harvest and farming practices for 10 years (1). The press release stated (1), “This commitment to transparency and clean processes in both farming and product manufacturing reinforces Raw Garden's position as a leader in the cannabis industry, committed to providing consumers with products they can trust.”
