Thomas Jefferson University Offers Three Graduate Certificates in Cannabis Science

Thomas Jefferson University (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) announced plans to offer three graduate certificates in cannabis science at their Institute of Emerging Health Professions.

According to the university, their expert faculty members developed the three academic graduate certificates for healthcare and cannabis industry professionals to learn the current cannabinoid therapies and their health effects. They also reportedly partnered with the Center for Forensic Science Research and Education for their leading expertise in toxicological analysis to deliver an unparalleled learning experience.

The three certificates include:

  • Cannabinoid Chemistry and Toxicology: This program was created for those interested in regulating the emerging legal cannabis industry with an understanding of analytical methodologies for the identification and interpretation of cannabis and cannabinoid products.

  • Cannabinoid Pharmacology: This certificate will teach students the mechanisms of drug action and aspects of pharmacokinetics as it relates to cannabis.

  • Cannabis Medicine: For clinicians and healthcare professionals, this certificate will provide an understanding of the science underlying endocannabinoids and their clinical applications.
