Village Farms International recently announced that the company will be spreading their medical cannabis distribution to New Zealand.

In a recent press release (1), Village Farms International, Inc. (Village Farms), disclosed that the company would be expanding their medical cannabis distribution to New Zealand. The company has sent out their first shipment to New Zealand from their “wholly-owned subsidiary”, Pure Sunfarms. This shipment consists of Pink Kush which has been a top selling dried flower strain in Canada over the last four years (1,2).
To distribute the contents of the shipment containing Pink Kush and other strains from their portfolio, will be handled by Medleaf Therapeutics, under their “Bloom” brand. Medleaf Therapeautics is a medical cannabis company with a vast distribution network in the country (1). According to Grand View Research, New Zealand’s cannabis market is anticipated to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 58% by 2030 (3).
