VIST Labs and Paralab have formed a strategic partnership to help expand decontamination and packaging solution options in Europe.

VIST Labs (VIST), a manufacturer and developer of cannabis purification and packaging solutions announced in a recent press release (1), a strategic partnership with Paralab, a provider based in Porto, Portugal and is a provider for pharmaceutical and technical solutions. Through this new partnership, VIST will be able to grow their outreach on providing decontamination options such as, CryoPasteurization decontamination and AMAPS packaging technologies. The press release mentions that “Paralab will serve as VIST's official European hub for sales, distribution, installation, and technical support,” (1).
“This partnership with Paralab marks a pivotal milestone in our global expansion strategy,” Jim Sanfilippo, CEO of VIST Labs mentioned in the press release (1). “As we continue to grow our presence in Europe, Paralab's extensive technical capabilities and well-established industry relationships will be instrumental in our success.”
“We are excited to join forces with VIST to bring state-of-the-art decontamination and packaging solutions to European cannabis producers,” Rui Suares, CEO of Paralab, said (1). “VIST's pioneering technologies set a new standard in product safety, shelf-life extension, and potency preservation, helping cultivators navigate regulatory challenges with confidence.”
The hope with this strategic partnership will cultivators and processors located in Europe will be better able to meet GMP, Pharmacopeia, and CE compliance standards while additionally still being able to optimize operational efficiency (1).
As mentioned in the press release (1), VIST Labs discusses two of their product offerings, “CryoPasteurization® is a natural, chemical-free decontamination method for yeast, mold, and bacteria that meets EU Pharmacopoeia standards. Complementing this, the AMAPS® Packaging System delivers proprietary modified atmosphere protection in ultra-high barrier package formats to extend shelf life up to two years, providing long-term protection for industrial-scale cannabis storage and distribution.” These will be some of the offerings VIST will be able to offer to the European market to be able to meet the strict regulations of that marketplace (1). VIST Labs modular system also allows for terpene infusion and moisture control which helps prevent degradation of the product (1). Additionally, they are scalable to help a variety of cannabis growers. VIST Labs bioburden equipment has a throughput capacity of 11 kilograms per hour and can be increased to 36 kilograms per hour for larger operations.
