In an April 10, 2025 press release (1), edibles brand Wyld announced the launch of its Wyld Works program, an initiative focusing on community, climate, and activism. With four pillars, the program aims to serve as a model for corporate responsibility in the cannabis industry, bridging business operations with climate and community.
"We recognize that our efforts alone will never be enough to create the change we envision, but that won't stop us from doing everything in our power to move the needle," stated Aaron Morris, CEO and Co-Founder of Wyld, in the press release. "Wyld Works is about redefining what success looks like—moving beyond profits to prioritize people, planet, and progress."
The four pillars are: Combating the War on Drugs, Environmental Sustainability, Health and Wellness, and Social and Racial Justice. Wyld Works explained it will support the efforts of its brands Wyld, Wyld CBD, and Good Tide in community and sustainability practices in packaging, sourcing, and more. This will also enable customers to support brands that align with their values, the press release stated.
Additionally, Wyld, launched in 2016, released its 2024 Impact Report. Highlights in the press release from the report, which tracks the company’s progress on environmental and social metrics, include (1):
Additional highlights from March 2025 include more than 80,000 carbon offsets purchased since 2021 and 100% of facilities running on renewable energy (2).
Additional sustainability efforts noted in the press release include the company’s recognition as an EPA Green Power Partner, using environmentally friendly inks for packaging, the launch of Good Tide with materials that are recyclable and compostable, compostable pouches for Wyld Ones products, using FSC-certified cardboard for shipping materials, and the use of cleaning supplies that reduce emissions and waste.
The aim is consistent and meaningful progress to overcome challenges. "These efforts are not new to Wyld, but Wyld Works gives them a home—a unified platform that allows us to deepen our responsibility as a growing business," added Morris. "We believe success isn't just about revenue—it's about impact and leading by example."
