In keeping pace with the ever-changing cannabis industry, Cannabis Science and Technology® is excited to release our refreshed branding in the July/August print and digital publication
In keeping pace with the ever-changing cannabis industry, Cannabis Science and Technology® is excited to release our refreshed branding in the July/August print and digital publication. This marks our 16th edition since we launched in 2018. Our first 15 issues brought you quality, scientific content and that is still our mission—and goal—moving forward.
We took the time to ask ourselves recently, how can we improve the presentation of this material for you, our readers? What we came back with was new fonts, a new logo, and new icons or labels that clearly indicate what topic each article covers—just to name a few of the changes you will see in this issue thanks to our incredible design team led by our Senior Art Director Gwendolyn Salas. The modernized look gives cannabis professionals better access to relevant information in the industry. Our new print/digital publication design features pages with better readability and our newly optimized website allows readers to digest content faster and with ease.
From day one, our goal has always been to educate the cannabis community. As our brand evolves and covers more areas of the cannabis industry, we will continue to prepare our content in the best format for the reader to understand and visualize the information. Our new logo and overall look are a testament to our dedication from the design, editorial, and sales teams. We hope you enjoy our July/August issue and keep coming back for more!
Sincerely,
Megan L’Heureux

Ep 24, Part I: Data Transparency in Cannabis Testing with Yasha Khan
November 21st 2024Evan Friedmann interviews Yasha Khan, co-founder of MCR Labs, about his journey into the cannabis industry and his efforts to promote transparency and integrity in laboratory practices. Yasha discusses the origins of MCR Labs, which began in Massachusetts to meet the needs of the soon-to-be legal medical cannabis market. He explains the challenges faced, including result manipulation by labs and the impact on public health. Yasha's Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) project aimed to gather testing data from 37 states, revealed significant discrepancies in potency and mold results. Despite some states' reluctance to share data, Yasha has made much of this data public, leading to collaborative research and publications on various aspects of cannabis testing.
